About me

Addie Broyles is a writer, editor, tarot card reader, and future ancestor living in Austin, Texas. The longtime Austin American-Statesman food writer started a Wordpress blog called The Feminist Kitchen in 2010, which evolved into a Substack newsletter in 2021. Each week on the newsletter and on thefeministkitchen.com, Addie writes about history, travel, pop culture, parenting, ancestry, and grief through the generational lens. Twice a year, she publishes a print zine for paid subscribers. You can find more about Addie's work by going to addiebroyles.com or by following her on Instagram: @broylesa.
